Sustainable Energetics for Africa

SCHOOL 2

For Participants originating mainly from Central Africa and North Africa, few from Germany and few from other parts of the World

Venue: PKFokam Institute of Excellence, Yaounde,Cameroon

PKFokam Institute of Excellence is situated in the Emana neighborhood of Yaounde, at 15 minutes from the downtown. The institute offers an excellent learning environment. Seen as an African incubator for world-class leaders, the PKFokam Institute of Excellence has several missions:

- Detecting and building leaders among Africa´s youth

- Providing top quality and relevant education

- Promoting the retention of Africa´s human and intellectual resources

- Emphasizing and promoting African knowledge and education

- Becoming a springboard for Africa-specific solutions

- Setting world standards for higher education in Africa.

The institution has gained great experience in organizing international events every summer since its creation. It has modern conference facilities, clean sanitation facilities and a standby electric generator that automatically switches on in case of electricity failure from the national grid. This is a major asset for the smooth running of the international summer school. Promoting the use of alternative sources of energy to overcome the energy deficit experienced in African countries is one of our major preoccupations. This is the reason for which the institution will spare no effort for the success of the international summer school on sustainable energetics for Africa. In addition, the PKFokam Institute of Excellence has a high speed internet with WLAN. The school will lay foundation for a start of a study program on sustainable energies at PKFokam.
