ICTP in Trieste, Italy

The coordinator together with Prof. Dr. Serdar Sariciftci, director of Linz Institute for Solar Energy of the Johannes Kepler University Linz Austria, visited ICTP (The Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics), a UN institution based in Trieste Italy, whose two members Dr. Joe Niemela and Dr. Ralph Gebauer attended the ANSOLE launching meeting in Linz on the 04.02.2011.

The official part of the visit took place on the 13th of April 2011. It started with a tour of the ICTP facilities. This was followed by a round table discussion with the executives of ICTP presided by the director of ICTP, Dr. Fernando Quevedo, during which Ideas were exchanged how ICTP could help ANSOLE achieve its goals and objectives. It was agreed to transform ANSOLE into an ICTP network. Both Prof. Sariciftci and the coordinator were later interviewed by the ICTP-TV, before a keynote lecture on organic solar cells was delivered by Prof. Sariciftci.
